Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rudi Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Gass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Gass is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rudi Machado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Gass! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machado fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Machado shoots in for a double leg but Gass sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Machado. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rudi Machado. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gass gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Machado blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Machado jumps guard but Gass stands there with Machado around his waist. Machado gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gass breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gass swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gass shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Machado manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Gass wanted to stand there but Machado had control of the position. Gass controlling from the top position. Gass working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gass wants to control from the top but Machado keeps moving. Gass wants to get up but he can't break Machado's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Machado is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gass wanted to stand there but Machado had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machado trying to keep a closed guard but Gass is proving a slippery customer.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Machado tries for a takedown but Gass circles away easily and Gass counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Machado doesn't succeed with the takedown and Machado takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gass forces Machado back against the ropes and clinches. Gass can't break the clinch.
Gass jumps into guard, dragging Machado to the mat.
Gass wants to stand but Machado is controlling the position. Gass pushes Machado off and scrambles back to his feet.
Gass throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Gass throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Machado tries for a takedown but Gass circles away easily and Gass cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Gass is looking to land body kicks. Machado doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gass counters with a leg kick.
That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Machado slips a jab and a cross from Gass.
Donk. Gass catches Machado right on the button with a cross. Machado shoots and misses and Gass counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Machado tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gass just stands there and leans against the ropes.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Gass pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gass swings for the body but Machado moves out of range.
Gass is looking to slow Machado down with leg kicks. Machado shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gass counters with a leg kick. Machado tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gass throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Machado shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gass counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Machado shoots and misses and Gass counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. It looks like Gass is going to stand back up.
Gass tries to pass to full mount but Machado defends it.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Gass is trying to control. Machado wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gass is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Still in half guard, Gass seems content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Gass dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Nice defenses there by Machado. Machado has his takedown stuffed and Gass counters with a leg kick. Machado shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gass finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gass throws a jab but it's blocked by Machado.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gass closes the distance and pushes Machado back into the ropes. Machado keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gass's efforts to push away. Gass is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Gass wants the takedown. Machado is fighting it off but Gass persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Machado's guard against the ropes. Machado trying to control the position.
Gass wants to pass the guard but Machado is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gass throws a strike but Machado rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gass is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Machado trying to control the position from guard on top but Gass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gass throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Machado escapes and throws Gass's legs to the side, diving into side control! Gass wants to control but Machado postures up. Machado trying to control the position but Gass is working away. Machado in the domination position with Gass hanging on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gass struggling a bit here. Gass is not content to let Machado control the position. Gass wants to control but Machado postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Gass shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gass showed some decent athleticism there. Gass is breathing heavily. Gass wants to stand up but Machado has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Gass is thwarting Machado's attempts to control the position. Gass seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Machado does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Machado trying to control but Gass postures up.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Gass wants to stand up but Machado manages to regain full guard. Machado is trying to control the position but Gass postures up. Gass trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Gass wants to stand and escape but instead Machado has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Machado trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Gass moves into the clinch. Machado keeps control of Gass as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Machado ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Machado no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Gass won't allow Machado to sweep him here. Gass trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Machado is on top in guard.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Machado stops Gass from standing up. Machado trying to control but Gass is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Kyle Gass comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gass has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
