Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stephen Jordans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paddy Rat! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rat tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jordans shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rat as he jumps to the side. Rat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rat drops Jordans with a beautiful combination! Jordans stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rat is looking for the KO!

Jordans is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jordans shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jordans was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jordans working for a guillotine from mount but Rat is in no mood to give up. Jordans swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rat is now in Jordans's guard. A big mistake from Jordans there, giving up the dominant position! Rat trying to control but Jordans is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jordans is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rat defends well. Jordans manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rat manages to get himself to full guard.
Jordans slips nicely into half guard. Rat wants to control but Jordans is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jordans passes to side control. Jordans tries to move to full mount but Rat actually manages to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jordans prevents Rat from standing back up.
Jordans is working for a kimura but Rat is defending it quite comfortably.
Jordans is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rat is just riding it out for now. Jordans eventually gives up the hold. Jordans seems to be looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rat is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rat is trying to stand.
Jordans is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rat sees it coming and defends easily. Jordans is looking for a kimura but Rat is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jordans to get the leverage. Jordans is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rat is just riding it out for now. Jordans eventually gives up the hold.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jordans is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rat! Jordans looking for a guillotine from mount but Rat is having none of it. Jordans has hold of Rat's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rat manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jordans is breathing heavily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jordans is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rat has managed to escape the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Paddy Rat will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Stephen Jordans's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rat throws a combination. Jordans tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Jordans bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jordans is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rat is trying to escape and Jordans transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rat is forced to tap! Nice work there by Jordans! Very nice indeed!
