Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Reggie Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Price!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price fails to land the takedown.
Hunter defending well as Price loads up on a big left hand.

Hunter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hunter works Price's body with a nice hook.
Price misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hunter.
Price tries to bum rush Hunter with a series of wild strikes but Hunter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hunter jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Price swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Price walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


It looks like Jimmy Price has been cut.
Hunter scores with a jab to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hunter throws a right and a left that Price avoids nicely.
Hunter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Price.
Price throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Price closes the distance and clinches.
Price lands with a short shot to the head.
Price is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hunter takes one on the chin but seems OK.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Price is looking to advance position but Hunter has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Price is desperately trying to improve his position but Hunter has a good base and remains in mount.
Hunter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Price manages to control the position for a moment.
Price is trying to escape the mount.
Price wants to control but Hunter is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hunter get's back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Price showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hunter.
Hunter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Price sees it coming and avoids it easily.
No joy there for Price, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Price lands with a good body shot.
Hunter looks to score with a jab to the body but Price is just out of range.

Price closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hunter to the mat! Hunter manages to get full guard.

Price had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hunter defends it easily.

Price working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hunter has passed into half guard!
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Price. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Price wants to improve his position but Hunter is controlling well.

Price has his foot on Hunter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hunter works his way back into a safe position though.

Hunter won't allow Price to sweep him here.
Hunter wants to get up but he can't break Price's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Price throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hunter uses it to pass to side control.
Price tries to buck Hunter off but Hunter is having none of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hunter gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Jimmy Price seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hunter looks to score with a jab to the body but Price is just out of range.
Reggie Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hunter looks to land a left hand but Price moved out of range nicely.

Price takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hunter lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Price throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hunter's waist but Hunter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Price off to one side.

Jimmy Price showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Price has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hunter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Price will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hunter up against the cage.

Well Price has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
