The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice takedown defense from St Pierre. No joy for Norrad on that attempt.
Norrad moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Georges St Pierre has been cut.
Norrad doesn't succeed with the takedown
and St Pierre counters with a big head kick but Norrad shrugs it off.

St Pierre wants to control but Norrad is keeping him busy.

and St Pierre counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Norrad with a poor takedown
and St Pierre counters with a good, hard body kick but Norrad shrugs it off.
Norrad takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
St Pierre closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - St Pierre lands in his opponent's guard.

St Pierre works over Norrad with some ground and pound from guard.
Norrad can't keep his opponent in guard - St Pierre advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
St Pierre scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

St Pierre frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Norrad breaks St Pierre's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

St Pierre is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Norrad is trying to stand up here but St Pierre is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Norrad is staying active underneath St Pierre, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Norrad manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Norrad throws a right and a left that St Pierre avoids nicely.
Norrad lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but St Pierre circles away quickly and effectively.

St Pierre sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Norrad's guard.
St Pierre is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Norrad is trying to get back to full guard.
St Pierre working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
