Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Markus Bromley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Faishan Singsurat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Singsurat has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

5 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Faishan Singsurat! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bromley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Singsurat doesn't manage to clinch there - Bromley circles away.
Bromley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Singsurat napping and manages to drive through into side control! Bromley controls the position. Singsurat wants to get back to his feet. Bromley remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Bromley seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Singsurat for as long as he can get away with.
That's one minute gone in the round. Singsurat avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bromley. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Markus Bromley. Singsurat tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick misses from Singsurat. Singsurat looks gassed! Singsurat tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bromley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Singsurat's guard.

Bromley is looking for a kimura but Singsurat is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bromley to get the leverage. Bromley has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bromley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Bromley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
