The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cacete drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cacete slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Zimmermann manages to get back to half guard.
Zimmermann is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Cacete performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cacete is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Zimmermann defends it well.
Zimmermann tries to get to full guard but Cacete has control of the leg.
Cacete seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Cacete takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Cacete decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Cacete drops Zimmermann with a left and a right! Oh, Zimmermann is hurt - Cacete dives into side control looking to finish!

Zimmermann is rocked!

It looks like Garry Zimmermann has been cut.
Zimmermann wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Oh Zimmermann is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cacete lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Zimmermann down.
Cacete happy to just control the position for now.
Zimmermann is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zimmermann looking for a sweep but Cacete has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Cacete takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Zimmermann wants to control but Cacete is having none of it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
