Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlo Bertozzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Tyrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlo Bertozzi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlo Bertozzi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chuck Tyrone! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bertozzi tries to close the distance and clinch but Tyrone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bertozzi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tyrone. Tyrone fails with a takedown attempt. Bertozzi cracks Tyrone with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Tyrone looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Bertozzi finish him?
It looks like Chuck Tyrone has been cut. Bertozzi leaves Tyrone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bertozzi misses with the combination.
Bertozzi throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tyrone should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bertozzi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bertozzi tries to sprawl but Tyrone drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Tyrone moves nicely into side control. Tyrone tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Tyrone working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Bertozzi is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tyrone asserts his dominance and retains side control. Tyrone tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tyrone has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Bertozzi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyrone looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Tyrone trying to control the action but Bertozzi is working from the bottom. Bertozzi is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tyrone asserts his dominance and retains side control. Bertozzi is breathing heavily. Tyrone throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bertozzi wants to get back to his feet. Bertozzi is trying to improve his position. Bertozzi is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tyrone is controlling him well. Tyrone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bertozzi keeps working. Bertozzi being controlled for a moment. Tyrone is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bertozzi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tyrone looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyrone goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bertozzi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Tyrone's guard! Nice work there by Bertozzi! Tyrone has a closed guard, preventing Bertozzi from standing up. Tyrone pulls Bertozzi in close to prevent any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bertozzi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chuck Tyrone will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Chuck Tyrone's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Bertozzi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Bertozzi misses with a wild combination.
Bertozzi throws a right and a left that both miss. Bertozzi moves in looking to clinch but Tyrone pushes him off. Tyrone has a takedown stuffed. Bertozzi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tyrone swats him away and circles back towards the center. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bertozzi leaves Tyrone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bertozzi misses with a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tyrone is defended easily by Bertozzi. Carlo Bertozzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Tyrone.

Tyrone shoots in but Bertozzi avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bertozzi throws a right and a left that both miss. Bertozzi darts in and clinches Tyrone up against the cage. Tyrone has Bertozzi pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bertozzi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bertozzi wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tyrone has him pressed against the cage. Bertozzi gets underhooks to prevent Tyrone's takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyrone is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Tyrone has a closed guard, preventing Bertozzi from standing up. Bertozzi trying to control but Tyrone is working from the bottom. Tyrone pulls Bertozzi in to control the position. Tyrone is trying to control the position but Bertozzi postures up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bertozzi throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bertozzi throws a leg kick which misses Tyrone's front leg but catches the back leg as Tyrone tries to avoid it. Bertozzi throws a nice looking combination but Tyrone bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bertozzi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tyrone circles away from the clinch attempt.

Tyrone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bertozzi tries to avoid it but Tyrone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bertozzi to the ground. Bertozzi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bertozzi wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tyrone circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tyrone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bertozzi pinned against the cage. Bertozzi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bertozzi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tyrone dives in and grabs Bertozzi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bertozzi pushes down on Tyrone's head and hops out. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bertozzi tries to clinch up. Tyrone has a takedown stuffed. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlo Bertozzi dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Chuck Tyrone's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Tyrone closes the distance and clinches up with Bertozzi, looking for a takedown. Tyrone pushes Bertozzi against the cage but Bertozzi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bertozzi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tyrone moves away. Tyrone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tyrone shoots for a takedown but Bertozzi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Carlo Bertozzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Tyrone. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tyrone takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Very smooth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bertozzi wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bertozzi sneaks out the side door and pushes Tyrone away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Bertozzi looks to throw the jab but Tyrone is out of range. Tyrone circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bertozzi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tyrone fails to land the takedown. Bertozzi throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Carlo Bertozzi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bertozzi misses with the combination.
Tyrone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bertozzi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tyrone moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A big right from Bertozzi misses. Bertozzi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bertozzi wants it to stay on the feet. Bertozzi wants to clinch up but Tyrone keeps it at a distance. Tyrone blocks a head kick by Bertozzi.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bertozzi throws a right and a left that Tyrone avoids nicely. Tyrone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bertozzi's waist but Bertozzi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tyrone off to one side. Tyrone slips a jab and a cross from Bertozzi.
Tyrone feints and as Bertozzi raises his hands in defense, Tyrone changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bertozzi keeping moving, preventing Tyrone from controlling successfully. Tyrone is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bertozzi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bertozzi has escaped and now he's on top! Bertozzi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyrone is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bertozzi with a flurry of punches that miss. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bertozzi wants to stand but Tyrone is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carlo Bertozzi. I think Bertozzi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
