Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Ruska!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monteiro throws a body punch but Ruska moves out of range.

Monteiro on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Dan Ruska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monteiro takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Ruska seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Monteiro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ruska jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Monteiro is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Monteiro and Ruska has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Ruska thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ruska is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Monteiro is trying to escape and Ruska transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Monteiro is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ruska! Very nice indeed!
