Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kwan Kaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Nelson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kwan Kaya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaya looks to land a combination but Nelson avoids it well. Kaya fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nelson sprawls well initially but Kaya persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kaya thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nelson's head. Kaya winds up and cracks Nelson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kaya drops an elbow to the side of Nelson's head. Nelson wants to control but Kaya is keeping busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nelson can do anything to dispel that myth. Nelson is not content to let Kaya control the position. Kaya not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kaya slips a nice elbow through Nelson's hands, connecting with Nelson's forehead. Kaya thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kaya looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Nelson is trying to maintain the position but Kaya is very close to passing his half guard. Nice strikes from Kaya there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaya is stalling here. Nelson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kaya seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Nelson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Kaya takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Kaya tries to get back to half guard but can't. Nelson landing strikes. Kaya managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Nelson.
Kaya tries to bench press Nelson off him but Nelson keeps the position. Nelson tries to move to mount but Kaya blocks the move with his legs. Nelson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kaya is avoiding damage well.
Kaya throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Nelson works to advance to full mount. Kaya defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Kaya is trying to escape the mount.
Nelson is landing with some decent strikes but Kaya is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Nelson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Nelson content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaya is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Nelson unloads with some shots from mount but Kaya bucks and avoids them well.
Nelson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Kaya is trying desperately to improve position. Nelson landing punches. Nelson trying to control but Kaya is having none of it. Nelson looking to finish with strikes here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nelson throws some wild stikes that Kaya manages to avoid easily.
Kaya blocking the ground and pound. Nelson trying to control but Kaya is having none of it. A nice elbow there by Nelson. Kaya wants to control but Nelson is having none of it. Nelson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kaya wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Nelson.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kwan Kaya dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Danga de danga de dang - Nelson scores with a four punch combination! Kaya misses with a combination
and Nelson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nelson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kaya throws a combination that misses and Nelson counters with a left and a right... And another left! Kaya is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
