The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ahr tries to clinch up but Dan circles away and keeps his distance.

Dan gets caught flat footed, as ahr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
ahr wanted to stand there but Dan had control of the position.

Dan looking to hit a scissor sweep but ahr is one step ahead there.
ahr wants to pass the guard but Dan is keeping the position.
Dan wants to stand and escape but ahr is having none of it.

Dan has an active guard here but ahr has managed to pass into half guard.
Dan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. ahr is working away from the top position though.

ahr is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dan is just riding it out for now. ahr eventually gives up the hold.

ahr is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dan pulls his head out easily.

You can see the frustration on ahr's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Dan decides to stand up, so the ref orders ahr to his feet.

Dan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on ahr, up you get!
ahr looks to land a left hand but Dan moved out of range nicely.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
ahr tries to buck Dan off but Dan is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dan goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, ahr has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dan but great work by ahr.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

ahr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
ahr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dan smiles and moves away.

and Dan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in ahr's guard now.

Dan gets to his feet. ahr looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Dan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. ahr did well to prevent Dan getting side control.

Dan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Dan wants to pass the guard but ahr is defending well.

Dan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

ahr has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Dan doesn't defend quickly enough and ahr has managed to lock this one up! Can Dan escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to ahr on a fantastic submission victory.
