Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jai Malek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Rene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rene has chosen Billionaire as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Malek has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malek shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Rene paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jai Malek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malek slips a jab and a cross from Rene.
Malek throws a sloppy head kick and Rene moves out of range easily.
A big right from Rene misses.
Good exchange - Rene coming out on top.
Rene scores with a jab to the head.
Malek tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Malek blocks a jab.
Malek takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malek throws a head kick but Rene moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rene lands a big uppercut and Malek crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Malek looks OK. Rene waves Malek back to his feet!
Malek is rocked!
Rene cracks Malek with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rene has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Malek to stand back up!
Oh Malek is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rene blocks a head kick by Malek.
Malek seems to have got his legs back now.
Malek switches off momentarily and Rene cracks him with a monster right hand! Malek topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Rene dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Rene!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shane Rene!
Shane Rene is the new heavyweight champion!
