Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Dayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Carmichael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dayne comes to the cage accompanied by Getting Away With Murder - Papa Roach (Edit). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jason Dayne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andy Carmichael! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dayne scores a takedown into full mount! Dayne throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Carmichael because Dayne loaded up on that one. Carmichael is looking to improve his position but Dayne isn't that keen on the idea. Dayne has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Carmichael wants to control but Dayne is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dayne prevents Carmichael from getting the reversal. Dayne tries to control but Carmichael wriggling away. Dayne has control of Carmichael's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Carmichael regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dayne gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Dayne is breathing heavily. Carmichael closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dayne manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Carmichael trying to control from half guard but Dayne is working away. Dayne is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carmichael's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carmichael's back!

Dayne is looking to control Carmichael but Carmichael is wriggling around and keeping busy. Carmichael trying to get back to his feet but Dayne is in full control for now. You can see the frustration on Carmichael's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carmichael has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Dayne tightening his grip on Carmichael, looking for the choke. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carmichael tries to roll but Dayne sticks to his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carmichael closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dayne to the mat! Dayne manages to get full guard. Carmichael trying to control but Dayne is working from the bottom. Carmichael stands up over Dayne, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Carmichael working some strikes from top position. Carmichael throws and elbow that misses. Dayne uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Carmichael's guard. Nice move by Dayne! Carmichael wants to stand but Dayne is controlling the position. Dayne trying to control the position from guard on top but Carmichael is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dayne is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dayne misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carmichael shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Dayne being controlled here, momentarily. Carmichael cracks Dayne with a solid left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carmichael is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Carmichael is in close to Dayne's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dayne wants to sweep but no luck. Carmichael with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Dayne working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carmichael doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carmichael manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Carmichael must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Carmichael content to stall in guard here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Let's hope that Carmichael has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Andy Carmichael showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jason Dayne's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Carmichael is taking a breather. Dayne says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Dayne tries to get to full guard but Carmichael has control of the leg. Carmichael is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dayne has managed to free his arm - good work. Carmichael drops an elbow to the side of Dayne's head. Dayne is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Carmichael scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Carmichael closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dayne did well to prevent Carmichael getting side control. Dayne wants to control but Carmichael is keeping busy.
Ground and pound from Carmichael. Carmichael tries to pass to full mount but Dayne defends it. Carmichael trying to control the pace. Andy Carmichael has got the better of the ground game so far. Carmichael trying to control from half guard but Dayne is working away.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carmichael scores with a one two! Dayne had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carmichael ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Dayne takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Dayne takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Jason Dayne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carmichael scores with a hook to the body. Dayne takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Carmichael scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Dayne is looking for a sweep. Carmichael really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dayne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carmichael creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
And that's the end of the fight! Andy Carmichael comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Carmichael has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
