Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kael Livin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Cavalcante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabriel Cavalcante!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Livin closes the distance and clinches.

Livin shoots in for a takedown but Cavalcante shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Cavalcante stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cavalcante wants it to stay on the feet.

Livin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cavalcante swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Cavalcante fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Livin avoids it really well and circles away.
Cavalcante shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Livin pinned against the cage. Livin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cavalcante shoots for a double leg takedown but Livin sprawls well. He's pushed Cavalcante's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kael Livin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Cavalcante.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Cavalcante counters with a low kick, right behind Livin 's knee.
Livin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Horrible takedown by Livin or perhaps it was just good defense by Cavalcante which made him look bad.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cavalcante will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cavalcante is pushing down on Livin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Livin is fighting to maintain full guard but Cavalcante has managed to sneak the leg through.

Livin wants to get back to his feet.

Livin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cavalcante on the ground.

Livin wants to get back to full guard but Cavalcante has mounted him!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Livin is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gabriel Cavalcante showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Livin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cavalcante looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
