PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danny Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keon Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Archer comes to the cage accompanied by American Badass. Cash has chosen Unsung as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Archer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Keon Cash!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Cash misses.
Cash throws a head kick that half lands.


It looks like Danny Archer has been cut.
Cash throws a sloppy head kick and Archer moves out of range easily.
Cash walks into a jab.
Cash keeps the fight on the outside.
Cash tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Cash lands a big head kick that sends Archer tumbling to the mat! Cash takes a step backwards and waves Archer back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Archer is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cash misses with a looping right.
Cash tries a head kick but it misses.
Archer shoots for a takedown but Cash saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cash is looking to land body kicks.
Cash throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Archer.
Cash misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Archer.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Archer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Archer throws the kick towards the body but Cash avoids it.

Archer misses with the body kick
and Cash counters with a straight right hand.
Archer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Cash counter with a right hand.

Archer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Cash throws a punch but it's blocked by Archer.
Archer struggles to land a body shot inside as Cash controls his hands.
Cash drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cash with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Archer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Archer lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cash backwards.
Cash using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Archer has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cash takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Archer working aggressively here.
Archer blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Cash changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Archer fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cash looks gassed!
Archer scores with a hook.
Archer looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Archer rushes Cash and presses him up against the cage.
Cash with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
A right handed body shot lands from Archer.
Archer lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A right hook to the body lands for Archer.
Archer lands a shot to the body.

Archer pulls guard.

Archer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Archer pulls Cash in close to prevent any damage.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Archer is on top in guard.
Archer works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Archer is working for a kimura but Cash is defending it quite comfortably.
Archer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Archer is nestled in close to Cash, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Archer is trying to control. Cash wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Cash tries to get to full guard but Archer has control of the leg.
Cash is trying to stand up here but Archer is controlling him well.

Archer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cash is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Archer maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Cash could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Archer has cracked it and Cash is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Archer!
