The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock blocks a head kick by Vogelov.
Shamrock lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Shamrock is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Vogelov sees it coming and defends easily.

Shamrock looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Shamrock drops back looking for a leg! Vogelov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vogelov manages to kick Shamrock off! Shamrock jumps back into Vogelov's guard.
