I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tommy Starr was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sims shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
It looks like David Sims has been cut. Starr shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sims is trying to defend but Starr finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Starr is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sims doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Starr. Starr wants to work for an arm triangle but Sims is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Starr is trying for a kimura here. Sims looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Starr wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tommy Starr!
