Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Killer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, KO Kane!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Killer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Killer stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Killer moves into the clinch.

Killer drags the fight down to the ground.

Killer has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kane off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Killer rushes Kane and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Killer has picked Kane up - he's going for a ride! Killer dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Killer has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Killer has hold of Kane's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kane manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Killer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Killer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Killer prevents Kane from getting the reversal.
Killer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Killer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kane for as long as he can get away with.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Killer lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Kane hold on?!
Kane tries to escape but Killer has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Kane moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Kane as Killer shoots in.
Kane tries to clinch but Killer moves away
and Killer counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kane is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Killer shoots for a double leg takedown but Kane sprawls well. He's pushed Killer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Killer.

and Killer finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

and Killer counters with a single leg into guard. Kane didn't expect that.
Killer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Killer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kane has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Killer has managed to get both his arms back between Kane's legs - danger averted.
