Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duncan McAlister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Willis! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The crowd cheers as McAlister lands an impressive looking overhand right. Willis doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like John Willis has been cut. Willis moves out of range of the body kick. McAlister throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Willis fails in his attempt to clinch. Willis tries to clinch there but McAlister circles away.
Willis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McAlister paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Willis looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McAlister circles away from the clinch attempt.
McAlister keeps the fight on the outside. Nice cross by McAlister. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McAlister lands a glancing blow to the side of Willis's head. Willis tries to close the distance and clinch but McAlister swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Willis tries to close the distance and clinch up but McAlister swats him away and circles back towards the center. McAlister will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McAlister dips to his left and cracks Willis with an uppercut! Willis fails in his attempt to clinch. McAlister swats away the attempt to clinch by Willis. McAlister scores with the left hand. Willis knows he should have avoided that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. McAlister digs a good body shot into Willis's ribs. McAlister is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Willis looks gassed! McAlister circles away from the clinch attempt.
McAlister drops Willis with a big left hand and mounts him. Willis is in big trouble! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McAlister tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Willis really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

McAlister is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Willis to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Willis shrugs it off.

McAlister will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. McAlister wants to finish this one by submission but Willis is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McAlister. McAlister avoids the attempt from Willis to control. McAlister is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Willis has managed to escape the submission attempt.
McAlister jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Willis manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. McAlister trying to control the action but Willis is working from the bottom. McAlister is trying to get an arm triangle but Willis is defending well. Willis wants to get back to his feet but McAlister drags him back down. McAlister passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Willis! McAlister wants to control the pace but Willis is squirming around nicely. Willis has given up his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Willis is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Willis wants to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McAlister gets through Willis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Willis misses with a short punch on the inside. Willis throws a punch but it's blocked by McAlister. McAlister blocking some punches.
Willis throws a head punch that misses. A shot in the inside from McAlister. McAlister breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That has opened up John Willis's cut even more. McAlister lands a head shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Willis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McAlister paws at him with a jab and circles away. John Willis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McAlister swats away the attempt to clinch by Willis. A combination from McAlister does no damage. McAlister throws a left that rocks Willis and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! McAlister dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Willis regain composure!
Willis is breathing heavily. Willis parries the strikes from McAlister easily there. McAlister is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Willis to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McAlister has hold of Willis's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Willis tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - McAlister cranks the arm and Willis screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Willis, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Duncan McAlister!
