PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Treptow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Fujitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rickson Fujitsu!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Treptow throws a head kick but Fujitsu moves out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Treptow fails to pull guard.
Fujitsu can't get the takedown.

Fujitsu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Treptow looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Treptow takes the fight into the clinch.
Treptow just leaning against Fujitsu, taking a breather.

Fujitsu turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fujitsu manages to end up in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fujitsu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Treptow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fujitsu moves out of range as Treptow throws a body kick.

and Fujitsu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Treptow's guard.

Treptow has one foot on Fujitsu's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Treptow takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Fujitsu seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
