Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Fisher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Peterson! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fisher fails with a takedown attempt. Peterson misses with a series of wild punches.
Peterson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like John Fisher has been cut. John Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fisher shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Peterson as he avoids it easily. A decent looking cross lands there for Peterson. Fisher shoots for a double leg takedown but Peterson sprawls well. He's pushed Fisher's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Fisher. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peterson throws a series of punches but Fisher moves out of range. Peterson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Peterson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fisher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Peterson's waist but Peterson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fisher off to one side. Peterson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fisher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Peterson as he jumps to the side. Fisher shoots in but no luck this time. Fisher is trying hard to land a takedown here. Peterson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Fisher is breathing heavily. Fisher is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Peterson.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice combination there by Peterson.

Fisher closes the distance and clinches up with Peterson, looking for a takedown. Fisher pushes Peterson against the cage but Peterson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Peterson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fisher at a distance.
Peterson looks to land a combination but Fisher avoids it well. Peterson scores with a jab to the jaw. Peterson lands a jab to the nose. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Peterson connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Fisher! He's out on his feet! Peterson rushes in and drops Fisher with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
