Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fausto Carmelon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Audet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Audet has chosen Black Eyed Peas - Pump it as his entrance music. Nathan Audet has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Fausto Carmelon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Fausto Carmelon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Audet! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carmelon cracks Audet with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Carmelon wants to clinch up but Audet keeps it at a distance. Audet moves into range and clinches up with Carmelon. Carmelon goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Audet lands a good knee to the midsection. Carmelon won't want to take too many of those. Carmelon working hard to break the clinch. Audet's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Audet with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Carmelon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Audet has him pressed against the cage. Carmelon is trying to break free. Audet tries a knee to the head but Carmelon blocks it.

Carmelon tries to work over Audet's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Audet connects with a knee to the head.

Carmelon is trying to break the clinch but Audet is controlling him. Audet landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Audet blocking some punches.
Carmelon swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Audet has picked Carmelon up - he's going for a ride! Audet dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Audet lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Audet tries to pass to full mount but Carmelon defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Audet winds up and cracks Carmelon with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Carmelon is staying active underneath Audet, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Carmelon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Audet on the ground. Audet missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Carmelon blocking the ground and pound attempt from Audet. Audet looks gassed! Carmelon is trying to maintain the position but Audet is very close to passing his half guard. Carmelon pushes Audet off looking to stand but Audet dives back in and keeps control.
Audet is keen to just control but Carmelon is a slippery customer.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Carmelon clinches but Audet breaks the clinch and Audet counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Audet. Knees to the body from Audet.
Audet is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Audet is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Audet lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Audet keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carmelon's efforts to push away. Audet looking to throw knees to the head but Carmelon is blocking nicely.

Carmelon tries to break free but Audet pushes him back against the cage. Audet wants a takedown but no success here.
Carmelon looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Audet misses with a knee strike.
Audet throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Carmelon blocks it with crossed arms. Audet is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Carmelon is keeping busy. Carmelon is pressed up against the cage. Audet has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Carmelon down to the mat. Carmelon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Carmelon misses with the combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Carmelon is trying to get back to half guard. Audet moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Carmelon taking punishment in the form of punches.
Audet working away. Audet has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Audet grinds an elbow into Carmelon's temple. Audet has hold of Carmelon's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Carmelon seems comfortable defending it but Audet has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Carmelon is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Carmelon is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Audet couldn't care less - he's delighted!
