Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nicholas Heath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Markus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heath's entrance music is U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday. A fine choice. Markus has chosen Megadeth - Holy Wars as his entrance music. The key to victory for Nicholas Heath has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nicholas Heath! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Markus! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heath scores with a nice body kick.
Markus tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Heath swivels and escapes. Heath connects with a solid leg kick. Markus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Heath lands a high kick!
Markus takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Good leg kick by Heath there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Markus looks gassed! Markus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Heath tries to get back to half guard but can't. Heath is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Markus is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Heath knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Heath sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Markus prevents Heath from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Heath is controlling Markus's trapped leg to prevent Markus from advancing to side control. Markus is looking for a kimura here.
Heath pushes Markus off looking to stand but Markus dives back in and keeps control.
Markus looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Markus seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Heath tries to kick Markus off but Markus keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Markus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Heath scores with a leg kick.
Heath throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Markus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nicholas Heath has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Markus.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Heath lands with a kick to the temple. Markus shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Heath. Heath lands a head kick. Markus smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Markus wants to slow Heath down by chopping away at his legs. Good leg kick by Heath there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Heath connects with a solid leg kick. A nice leg kick lands there from Heath. Mark Markus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Markus closes the distance and clinches up with Heath, looking for a takedown. Markus pushes Heath against the cage but Heath circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Heath lands a right hook to the body.
Heath throws a good cross that connects.
Heath connects with a high kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Heath throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Markus's head.
Markus is rocked! Heath feints a jab and as Markus dips his head, Heath unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Markus right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Markus falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Heath smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
