PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ned Flanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mister JJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flanders comes to the cage accompanied by Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancin'. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ned Flanders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mister JJ!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JJ misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Flanders will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Flanders cracks JJ with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
JJ tries to clinch there but Flanders circles away.
Flanders swings and misses with a hook to the body.
JJ with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Flanders to score with a decent uppercut.
JJ fails with the takedown.
JJ shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Flanders as he avoids it easily.
Flanders misses with a hook. JJ ducked under it nicely.
JJ misses with a combination
and Flanders counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A head kick misses from JJ.
JJ gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Flanders counters with a nice uppercut.
Ned Flanders has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mister JJ.
JJ wants to clinch
and Flanders cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's one minute gone in the round.

JJ bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
JJ lands a decent elbow from side control.
Flanders tries to bench press JJ off him but JJ keeps the position.
Flanders is being controlled here.

JJ looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
JJ is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Flanders avoids any damage from the ground and pound of JJ.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Flanders is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on JJ's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Flanders knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for JJ on the ground.
JJ trying to control the pace.
JJ seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Flanders does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Flanders is trying to defend against the ground and pound but JJ scores with a couple of nice shots.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
JJ content to control rather than advance.
JJ throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Flanders on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Flanders tries to get out of the position.
JJ winds up and cracks Flanders with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
JJ missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

JJ is looking for a kimura here.
JJ wants to take a breather but Flanders is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Flanders regains full guard. Nicely done.
JJ controlling from the top position.
JJ loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
JJ being controlled here momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ned Flanders will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



JJ shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Flanders napping and manages to drive through into side control!
JJ trying to control the position but Flanders is working away.
JJ misses with the ground and pound.

JJ has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Flanders is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. JJ yanks on the arm and Flanders is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by JJ.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mister JJ!
