Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Steve Smith has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Steve Smith seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Xavier Hart!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith swings for the body but Hart moves out of range.
Hart gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Smith to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Smith is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hart is trying to keep Smith in close.
Smith controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Smith seems to have locked his on tight now - Hart screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Smith, as he picks up the win!
