Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Zaremba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Piotr Zaremba!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Zaremba both land. Nice combination.
Hill leaves Zaremba with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hill misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hill throws a combination that misses
and Zaremba counters with an outside leg kick.

Steve Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zaremba changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hill looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Zaremba thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hill is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Zaremba asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Zaremba is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hill defends it well.

Hill lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hill stuns Zaremba with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hill wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hill closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Zaremba misses with a takedown attempt - Hill sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Steve Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piotr Zaremba.

Hill looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Zaremba shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hill napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zaremba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hill is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Zaremba has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Steve Hill is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd cheers as Zaremba lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hill doesn't seem phased though.
Zaremba moves in looking to clinch but Hill pushes him off.
Zaremba lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Zaremba shoots for a double leg takedown but Hill sprawls well. He's pushed Zaremba's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Zaremba shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Zaremba has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
