Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Ovrut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cake Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cake Jr! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Jr.
Jr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Cake Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jr closes the distance and clinches. Jr working aggressively here.
Ovrut is trying to drag Jr to the mat but Jr just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jr manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ovrut throws a lazy right hand but Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jr clinches up with Ovrut and pushes him back against the cage. Jr gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ovrut.
Ovrut can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Ovrut. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Cake Jr has been cut. Ovrut connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jr. Jr circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Jr throws a nice looking combination but Ovrut bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jr looks gassed! Ovrut throws a shot from downtown. Jr moves away and avoids it. Nice defenses there by Ovrut. Jr misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ovrut.

Jr tries to bum rush Ovrut with a series of wild strikes but Ovrut uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jr avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jab from Ovrut.
That has opened up Cake Jr's cut even more. Ovrut getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Ovrut cracks Jr with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ovrut has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jr to stand back up!
Jr is rocked! Ovrut drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Jr's head, knocking him out cold! Ovrut is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
