Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JP Flaim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tommy Sawyer! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flaim circles away from the clinch attempt.

Flaim postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sawyer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Flaim, into his guard. Sawyer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Flaim dives on top into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flaim looking to pass the guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Flaim stops Sawyer from standing up. Flaim drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sawyer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Flaim has Sawyer in his guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sawyer postures up in Flaim's guard and throws a big left but Flaim blocks it. Sawyer tries to free his leg and advance position but Flaim is retaining full guard. Sawyer drops back, looking for a kneebar! Flaim looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Flaim looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Flaim! Sawyer tries to escape but Flaim is in control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sawyer managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Flaim.

Wait, no, Flaim rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sawyer's guard! Nice work there by Flaim! Sawyer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Flaim pushes down on Sawyer's leg and manages to get into half guard. Flaim is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Tommy Sawyer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sawyer tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Flaim is trying to work for a kimura but Sawyer is defending well.

And that's the end of the fight! JP Flaim showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Flaim, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
