Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Victory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joseph Steele! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Victor Victory! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Victory. Steele can't do much from the bottom here. Steele manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Victory tries to get to full guard but Steele has control of the leg. Victory keeping control of the position. Victory makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Victory. Steele is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Victory is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Victory has escaped and now he's on top! Steele is breathing heavily. Steele being controlled here, momentarily. Let's hope that Victory has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Victory slips nicely into half guard. Victory not doing much here.
Victory wants to lay and pray for a moment but Steele keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Victory decides to return to a standing position. Steele tries for a takedown but Victory circles away easily and Victory counters with a lovely shot to the body. Victory scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Victory sitting and controlling from the half guard. Victory missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Victory throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Victory is keen to just control but Steele is a slippery customer. Victory wants to get back to his feet.
Victory thows a huge punch but Steele dodges it nicely.
Steele slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Victory trying to control but Steele is working from the bottom. Steele wants to stand and escape but Victory is having none of it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The fight stays on the outside here - Victory looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Steele moves into the clinch. Steele can't get the takedown.
Victory is trying to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Victory gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joseph Steele. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steele pulls guard. Victory is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Victory wants to get up but he can't break Steele's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Steele is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Steele is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Victory wants to control from the top but Steele keeps moving. Victory is posturing up here but Steele has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Victory tries to roll out but it's too tight and Victory has to tap! Slick submission there by Steele!
