The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lausster pivots, looking for a leg kick but Baloney is out of range and Lausster settles back down.

Lausster shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Baloney napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Lausster tries for a kimura but Baloney is defending well.
Baloney sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Baloney wants to improve his position but Lausster is controlling well.
Lausster is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baloney tries to get to full guard but Lausster has control of the leg.
Lausster missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Lausster is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Lausster lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Lausster is nestled in close to Baloney, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Lausster is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Baloney defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lausster wants to pass to mount but Baloney is defending the position.
