Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack McClusky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Craik! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McClusky fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Craik throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Craik will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McClusky uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Craik. McClusky displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Jason Craik has been cut. McClusky ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Craik misses with a combination
and McClusky counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. McClusky slips a straight right by Craik. Craik throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McClusky. McClusky is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Craik pushing out the jab but it's not landing. McClusky tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Craik was well out of range. Poor timing from McClusky. McClusky throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Craik stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Craik looks gassed! Craik walks into a stiff left hand from McClusky. Jason Craik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Craik takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Craik takes a shot to the body in his stride.
McClusky lands a left and a right that send Craik crashing to the mat, dazed. McClusky thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Craik is rocked! McClusky shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Craik takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - McClusky sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Craik bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack McClusky!
