Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gengis Kan! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone moves into the clinch successfully.
Stone lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kan or not. Kan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stone pulls him back up using the underhooks. Stone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stone clinches up with Kan and pushes him back against the cage. Stone breaks the clinch.
Kan misses with a double jab.
Stone steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kan. Kan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stone paws at him with a jab and circles away. Stone rushes Kan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kan tries to work over Stone's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Stone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kan looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stone clinches up against the cage. Stone misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kan.
Stone lands a body shot. Stone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stone scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Stone gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Stone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stone closes the distance and clinches. Stone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stone forces Kan back against the cage and clinches. Stone displaying some good clinch control by pressing Kan up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone lands a body shot. Stone working Kan over with knees to the body. Stone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stone drops Kan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kan looks back up at him and smiles so Stone waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Gengis Kan has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stone has managed to clinch.
Stone digs a right hand underneath Kan's ribcage. Kan let out a lung full of air as it connected. Stone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Stone clinches up with Kan and pushes him back against the cage. Kan takes an elbow to the forehead. Stone lands a nice shot to the body. Stone manages to break the clinch.
Stone jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kan is rocked! Stone clinches with his opponent.
Kan is still on wobbly legs! Can Stone finish him? A short body shot lands from Stone as the two fighters clinch.
Stone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kan seems to have recovered his senses. Stone clinches. A right hook to the body lands for Stone.
Stone slowing the pace effectively. Stone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kan swats away the attempt to clinch by Stone. Stone lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Kan falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dan Stone!
