Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Calhoun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henderson has chosen Still Unbroken as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rob Calhoun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Will Henderson!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Henderson looks for a takedown but Calhoun sprawls well.
Henderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Calhoun avoids it really well and circles away.
Calhoun fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A jab from Calhoun misses.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Henderson.
Henderson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Henderson tries to advance to mount but Calhoun denies him.

Henderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Calhoun holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Henderson is trying to get an arm triangle but Calhoun is defending well.

Henderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Calhoun, who protects the arm well.

Henderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Calhoun knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

You can see the frustration on Calhoun's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Henderson grinds an elbow into Calhoun's temple.

Henderson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Henderson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Henderson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Calhoun has escaped the position, nice work there.
Calhoun wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Henderson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Calhoun tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Henderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Henderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Calhoun knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Henderson tries for a kimura but Calhoun is defending well.

Henderson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Will Henderson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Henderson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Calhoun scores with a nice head shot.
Henderson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Calhoun looks to land a right hand but Henderson moved out of range.
Calhoun lands with an overhand left.
A looping hook to the body misses from Calhoun. Henderson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Calhoun throws a jab when Henderson was well out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henderson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Calhoun throws a shot to the body.
A decent looking cross lands there for Calhoun.
Calhoun fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Henderson on the side of the head.
Calhoun is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Calhoun swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

A jab from Calhoun misses.
Henderson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Calhoun shoots for a takedown but Henderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Calhoun is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Henderson.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Henderson.
Calhoun connects with a single shot there.
A left lands for Calhoun.
Good shot there by Calhoun.
Horrible takedown by Henderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Calhoun which made him look bad.
Calhoun looks to score with a jab to the body but Henderson is just out of range.
Calhoun scores with a body shot.
Henderson is breathing heavily.
Henderson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Calhoun.
Henderson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Calhoun takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Calhoun rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Henderson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Calhoun. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Calhoun is trying to break the clinch but Henderson has him pressed against the cage.

Henderson jumps into guard, dragging Calhoun to the mat.

Henderson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Calhoun doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Henderson is tightening it up a little... Calhoun has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Calhoun reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Calhoun taps out! nice BJJ there by Henderson!
