Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kayden Egan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kayden Egan! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson tries for a takedown but Egan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Egan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jackson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jackson misses with a head kick.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Egan as he avoids it easily. Jackson throws a series of punches but Egan moves out of range. Egan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jackson misses with a double jab
and Egan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jackson won't be happy with that. Jackson tries to buck Egan off but Egan is having none of it. Egan controls the position. Egan stands up and beckons Jackson to his feet. Jackson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Egan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson is breathing heavily. Jackson misses with a takedown attempt and Egan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Egan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Egan advances to half guard. Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Egan on the ground. Jackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Egan stands up and beckons Jackson to join him on the feet. Jackson avoids the head kick by Egan.
Egan with a jab. Jackson fails with the takedown and Egan counters by moving into the clinch. Egan drags the fight down to the ground.
Egan scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Egan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jackson sprawls well initially but Egan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Egan is figuring out what he wants to do next. Egan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jackson sees it coming and defends easily. Egan stands up from half guard. Jackson misses with a double jab
and Egan counters with a left to the body. Egan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Egan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jackson. Egan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Egan clinches with his opponent.
Egan pulls guard. Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Egan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Egan has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though. Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Egan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Egan's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Egan holds on and takes a little breather. Egan keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. Jackson tries to stand but Egan is controlling from the bottom. Egan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackson! Egan unloads with some shots from mount but Jackson bucks and avoids them well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Egan lands a nice shot to the head. Egan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Egan landing strikes, looking to finish! Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position. Egan controlling the pace for now. Jackson is looking to get to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Egan has hold of Jackson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jackson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Egan controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kayden Egan dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
No luck for Jackson with that takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Egan. No joy for Jackson on that attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Egan. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Egan circles away from the clinch attempt and Egan counters with a lovely straight right hand! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Egan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jackson thinking. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Egan throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range. Egan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Egan is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Egan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Egan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Egan is working for a kimura but Jackson is defending it quite comfortably.

Jackson wants to improve his position but Egan is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Egan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jackson misses with a double jab
and Egan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Egan shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well. Egan shoots in but no luck this time. Jackson misses with a takedown and Egan counters with a one-two to the body. Jackson stuffs the takedown. Jackson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Egan counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Jackson stops a takedown attempt from Egan.
Jackson wants to break free but Egan has control.
Egan presses Jackson against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Egan successfully pulls guard.
Jackson wants to stand and escape but instead Egan has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Egan from controlling successfully. Egan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Egan forces his way into half guard. Egan is thwarting Jackson's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Egan sitting and controlling from the half guard. Jackson is trying to get back to full guard. Jackson is trying to stand.
Egan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Egan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away. Egan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kayden Egan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Horrible takedown by Egan or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad. Jackson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Egan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Egan trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Egan thows a huge punch but Jackson dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Egan throws a shot to the body.
Egan fails with a takedown attempt. Egan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Frank Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kayden Egan. Jackson throws a combination that misses and Egan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Frank Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Egan dodges the punch combination from Jackson.

Egan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jackson lands a two punch combo.

and Egan counters with an inside leg kick. Egan closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Egan pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Egan stuffs the takedown. Jackson with a lazy takedown attempt and Egan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Frank Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Egan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Egan. Egan moves out of range as Jackson strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson gets caught flat footed, as Egan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jackson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Egan controls the pace. Jackson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Egan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Egan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Egan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kayden Egan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that's the end of the fight! Kayden Egan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Egan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
