Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Said Said (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morre Diabo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Said comes into the arena with Evol Intent - Middle of the night blaring out of the sound system. Morre Diabo will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diabo walks into a left hand.
Said looks to score with a jab to the body but Diabo is just out of range.

It looks like Morre Diabo has been cut.
Said looks to score with a jab to the body but Diabo is just out of range.
Diabo tries to clinch but Said is having none of it.
Said throws a series of punches but Diabo moves out of range.
Said fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Diabo on the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diabo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Said looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Diabo fails to land the takedown.
Diabo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Said pinned against the cage. Said gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Diabo tries to clinch up.

Said swats away the attempt to clinch by Diabo.
Said leaves Diabo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Said Said has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Morre Diabo.

Said loads up on a big right hand but Diabo slips the punch.

Said cracks a nice hook into Diabo's ribs.

Said lands a jab to Diabo's midsection.
Diabo needs to keep his hands up - Said had a free shot at his head there.
Said throws out a powerful jab.

Said fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Said connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Said scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Said cracks Diabo with an uppercut from hell and Diabo crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Said's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Diabo is rocked!

Said is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Diabo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Said can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Said slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Said is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diabo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Said advances to full mount.

Said wants to finish this one by submission but Diabo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Said.

Said is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Diabo has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Said is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Diabo is surviving well by controlling Said's body position as best he can.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Said is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Diabo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Diabo!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Said here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Diabo is trying desperately to land a takedown but Said is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Diabo.

Diabo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Diabo there as he acknowledges the shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Said Said is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Diabo is being controlled here.
Said's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Said is staying tight to Diabo's torso, preventing him from escaping.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Said Said.
Diabo dodges the punch combination from Said.
Diabo tries to land a leg kick but Said saw it coming and moves away.
Morre Diabo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Diabo.

Well Said has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
