Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sho Fukamachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Payette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fukamachi comes to the cage accompanied by Genki Sudo world order mindshift. Payette has chosen Sick Puppies- Youre Going Down as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sho Fukamachi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Charles Payette ! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Payette looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fukamachi clinches with his opponent.
Fukamachi drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Payette throws a head punch that misses. Fukamachi has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Payette avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Fukamachi is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Payette can't fight it off and eventually Fukamachi manages to take the fight to the floor. Payette looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fukamachi lands a couple of digs. Fukamachi trying to control the position from guard on top but Payette is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fukamachi sitting in guard here, content to control. Fukamachi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fukamachi perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Fukamachi moves into full mount! Payette won't be happy about that! Fukamachi controlling the pace for now. Fukamachi trying to control but Payette is having none of it. Fukamachi controlling from the full mount. Payette is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Fukamachi goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Payette is on top in guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sho Fukamachi. Payette forces Fukamachi back against the cage and clinches. Payette swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Payette is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fukamachi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Fukamachi leaning his opponent against the cage. Fukamachi jumps guard and drags Payette to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Payette is fighting to break Fukamachi's control of his arms but Fukamachi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Fukamachi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Payette is one step ahead there. Payette postures up.
Payette trying to control but Fukamachi is working from the bottom. Payette would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fukamachi wants to stand up but Payette is controlling him. Fukamachi controls Payette momentarily but Payette frees himself. Fukamachi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Payette manages to get himself to full guard.

Fukamachi drops back looking for a leg! Payette is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Payette manages to kick Fukamachi off! Fukamachi jumps back into Payette 's guard. Fukamachi trying to control the position from guard on top but Payette is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Payette is trying to control the position but Fukamachi postures up. Fukamachi cracks Payette with a solid left hand. Fukamachi stays in close to Payette 's body and controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Payette is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Payette looks gassed! Fukamachi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Fukamachi slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Fukamachi happy to just control the position for now. Fukamachi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Payette is being controlled here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sho Fukamachi dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Fukamachi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Payette manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Fukamachi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Payette is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fukamachi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Payette 's guard. Fukamachi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Payette is not content to let Fukamachi control the position. Fukamachi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Payette tries to roll over but Fukamachi keeps him under control. Fukamachi is controlling the pace.
Payette is breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sho Fukamachi. Fukamachi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Payette sprawls well. Payette wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fukamachi gets slowly back to his feet. Payette misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Payette keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fukamachi misses with a looping right. Fukamachi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Payette to the mat! Payette manages to get full guard. Fukamachi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fukamachi sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fukamachi trying to control but Payette is working from the bottom. Payette looking for a guillotine here but Fukamachi defends easily.
Fukamachi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Fukamachi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fukamachi lands in his opponent's guard. Fukamachi's corner is telling him to maintain position. Fukamachi cracks Payette with a solid left hand. Sho Fukamachi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Payette trying to control the position.
Fukamachi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Fukamachi scoring with punches to the head and body. Fukamachi showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Fukamachi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fukamachi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fukamachi content to stall in guard here. Fukamachi stands and throws Payette 's legs to the side, diving into side control. Fukamachi advances to mount. Fukamachi working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Payette looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Fukamachi! Submission of the night perhaps?
