Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brener shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.
Brener has gone for a leg lock! Silva slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brener's guard.
Brener tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Brener manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva tries to hold on but Brener pushes him away.

Brener wants to finish this one by submission but Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Brener.

Brener is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Silva can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Silva wants to hold on but Brener pushes him away.
Silva is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Silva sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Brener scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Silva flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Brener wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Silva is trying is best to control the position here.

Silva is looking for a triangle but Brener pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Brener thows a big elbow that misses.
Brener throws and elbow that misses. Silva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Brener's guard. Nice move by Silva!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Brener drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

Brener is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Silva's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Silva! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Brener has tapped! This one is allllll over!
