Petzel has chosen New York as his entrance music. Lion Gordon could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Alexander Petzel's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lion Gordon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Petzel! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gordon throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Petzel lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Gordon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Alexander Petzel has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Petzel throws a right and a left that Gordon avoids nicely. Petzel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Petzel gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gordon.
Petzel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gordon avoids the head kick by Petzel.
Lion Gordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Petzel walks forward, straight into a front kick from Gordon. Petzel has managed to clinch.
Nice body punch from Petzel - that landed with a thud.
Gordon tries for a takedown but Petzel manages to get underhooks.
Petzel lands a body punch. Gordon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Petzel pulls his leg out and moves away.

Petzel stuns Gordon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Gordon misses with a wild body shot. Petzel lands with a shot to the body. Gordon is breathing heavily. Petzel shoots for a double leg takedown but Gordon sprawls well. He's pushed Petzel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Petzel looks to land a combination. Gordon sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Petzel instigates a clinch. Petzel manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Gordon connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Petzel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Petzel has closed the distance and engaged Gordon in a clinch.
Gordon struggles to land a body shot inside as Petzel controls his hands.
Gordon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gordon swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Petzel lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gordon backwards. Gordon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Petzel scores with a three punch combo!
Petzel fails in his attempt to clinch. Petzel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gordon scores a takedown into full mount! Petzel is looking to improve his position but Gordon isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petzel regains half guard. Gordon prevents Petzel from improving his position. The fighters are battling for position here. Petzel manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Petzel looking to control.
Gordon stands up and waves to Petzel to follow him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Petzel scores with a jab. Petzel ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Petzel lunges at Gordon with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gordon's hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gordon on the wrong end of a nice jab. Petzel tries to bum rush Gordon with a series of wild strikes but Gordon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Petzel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gordon but Gordon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Petzel shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gordon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gordon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Gordon has hold of Petzel's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Petzel manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Gordon is landing with some decent strikes but Petzel is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petzel is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Petzel tries to buck Gordon off but he can't manage it. Gordon has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Petzel's face.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petzel can't escape the position.

Gordon working for a guillotine from mount but Petzel is in no mood to give up. Petzel manages to regain half guard. Good work. Petzel is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gordon pulls his head out easily. Gordon wants to work for an arm triangle but Petzel is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gordon not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Petzel gets back to full guard.

Petzel lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gordon at a distance.
Gordon rushes Petzel and presses him up against the cage. Gordon tries to circle away but Petzel has him pinned against the cage. Petzel digs a right hand into Gordon's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Gordon's gas tank. Gordon tries to break the clinch but Petzel is controlling the position. Petzel gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Gordon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Petzel is aware though and is defending well. Petzel pushing down on Gordon's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Petzel is keen to just control but Gordon is a slippery customer. Gordon is defending against the submission attempts here by Petzel.
Gordon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gordon is trying to get back to full guard. Gordon taking some punishment here, with Petzel in his half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nice strikes from Petzel there. Gordon has hold of Petzel's hands but Petzel slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petzel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gordon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Petzel looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gordon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Petzel is trying to control the action in half guard but Gordon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gordon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Petzel is working away from the top position though. Gordon is looking for a sweep. Petzel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Petzel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gordon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Petzel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Petzel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Alexander Petzel has got the better of the ground game so far. Petzel trying to control the position from guard on top but Gordon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gordon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Petzel controls from within his opponent's guard. Gordon has momentary wrist control but Petzel slips an elbow through the middle. Petzel passes Gordon's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gordon gets full guard. Petzel works over Gordon with some ground and pound from guard. Petzel gets to his feet. Gordon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Petzel throws a half hearted mid kick. Petzel lands a two punch combo.

Petzel is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Gordon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Petzel. Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Petzel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gordon defends it easily. Gordon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Petzel works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Petzel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Petzel decides to stand up. Gordon swats away the attempt to clinch by Petzel. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Petzel prevents Gordon from getting the reversal. Petzel landing punches. Lion Gordon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Petzel scoring with strikes but Gordon is staying in there. Petzel fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Petzel is in the full mount, landing strikes. Petzel is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gordon can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Petzel throwing strikes here but Gordon is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Alexander Petzel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Petzel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
