Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bigs looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Schankelies is fending him off so far but Bigs persists. Nope, Schankelies circles away and we're back to standing.
Bigs misses with a wild combination.
Schankelies shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Schankelies was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bigs is looking to improve his position but Schankelies isn't that keen on the idea.

It looks like Dirk Bigs has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schankelies is landing with some decent strikes but Bigs is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Oh Bigs is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Schankelies has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Schankelies is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bigs can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
