The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Byron stuffs the takedown. A big right from Romero misses. Byron keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Byron keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cesar Romero. That's going to take a lot out of him. Byron moves into the clinch successfully.
Romero is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Byron gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Romero.

Romero has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Byron avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. With the fighters up against the cage, Byron throws an elbow but misses. Romero takes an elbow to the forehead. Byron gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Romero tries for a takedown. No joy.
Romero blocks an elbow strike. Byron lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Romero is breathing heavily. Byron lands an elbow that stopped Romero in his tracks for a moment.
Romero is rocked! Byron creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Romero! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Byron.
