Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tubby Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aengus O Donnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Donnell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dropkick Murphys - Worker's Song. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Donnell fails with a takedown attempt. O Donnell has a takedown stuffed. O Donnell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tubby Hayes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aengus O Donnell. O Donnell fails miserably with a takedown attempt. O Donnell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hayes defends it nicely. Hayes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from O Donnell. Hayes misses with a hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Donnell fails with the takedown. O Donnell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hayes has control of O Donnell's left arm, preventing O Donnell from doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hayes is pulling down on O Donnell's head. It's preventing any offense from O Donnell, at least for the moment. Hayes tries to land a sweep but no joy. O Donnell trying to control but Hayes is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. O Donnell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. O Donnell wants to control from the top but Hayes keeps moving. O Donnell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hayes keeping moving, preventing O Donnell from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Aengus O Donnell. O Donnell is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hayes.
O Donnell shoots in but no luck this time. Hayes connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. O Donnell shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hayes pinned against the cage. Hayes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. O Donnell shoots in and bounces Hayes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. O Donnell slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. O Donnell wants to control from the top but Hayes keeps moving. Hayes looking for a sweep. Not yet Hayes, not yet. Hayes keeping moving, preventing O Donnell from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. O Donnell stays in close to Hayes's body and controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A jab from Hayes finds it's way through O Donnell's defenses. Hayes tries to score with a low kick but O Donnell moves his leg out of the way. O Donnell shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hayes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. O Donnell throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hayes escapes and throws O Donnell's legs to the side, diving into side control! Hayes working away. O Donnell might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hayes kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Donnell is trying to get back to half guard. O Donnell struggling a bit here. O Donnell is trying to get back to half guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. O Donnell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hayes is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. O Donnell throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hayes is controlling O Donnell's position as best he can from this difficult position. O Donnell controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hayes controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Donnell is keen to just control but Hayes is a slippery customer. O Donnell content to control rather than advance. O Donnell sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hayes defending well though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. O Donnell controlling the pace. O Donnell is looking to stall here but Hayes recovers full guard. O Donnell trying to control but Hayes is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

O Donnell has his takedown stuffed and Hayes counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for O Donnell! O Donnell tries to reverse the position but Hayes maintains control. O Donnell tries to lock up and control but Hayes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hayes can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as O Donnell is looking to escape. The referee warns O Donnell that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hayes lands a big shot there that rocks O Donnell but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hayes avoids the attempt from O Donnell to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayes prevents O Donnell from getting the reversal. Hayes unloading with bombs! O Donnell regains half guard. Hayes performing his best blanket impression for a moment. O Donnell wants to control but Hayes is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hayes sitting and controlling from the half guard. O Donnell tries to roll over but Hayes keeps him under control. Hayes keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. O Donnell trying to control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Donnell tries to roll over but Hayes keeps him under control. O Donnell is staying active underneath Hayes, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. O Donnell tries to clinch up and Hayes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. O Donnell darts in trying to clinch and Hayes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. O Donnell gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hayes counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. O Donnell is trying to control but Hayes passes into side control!
O Donnell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. O Donnell tries to bench press Hayes off him but Hayes keeps the position. O Donnell trying to remain calm as Hayes controls from the top position. O Donnell parries the strikes from Hayes easily there. Hayes is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable O Donnell to escape.
O Donnell struggling a bit here. O Donnell looks to move to half guard but instead Hayes has passed into mount! Damn! Tubby Hayes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. O Donnell gets back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Tubby Hayes showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hayes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
