Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harrison Christopher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Donavan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Donavan! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christopher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Donavan's waist but Donavan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Christopher off to one side. Christopher closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Christopher is working Donavan over with some ground and pound from side control. Donavan is not content to let Christopher control the position. Donavan takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Christopher taking a breather here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Donavan is pushing Christopher's head away, looking to escape. Christopher showed some decent athleticism there. Christopher seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Donavan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
