Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seth Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson shoots in but no luck this time.
Anderson is breathing heavily.
Potter rushes Anderson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Potter manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Potter pulls Anderson in close to prevent any damage.
Potter keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully.
Potter is adopting a defensive guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Anderson prevents Potter from getting back to his feet.
Anderson pushes down on Potter's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Potter is refusing to be controlled, as Anderson sits in half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Anderson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Potter is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Potter is concentrating on defense, preventing Anderson from advancing position.
Potter pushes Anderson off and gets back to his feet.
Potter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Potter wants it to stay on the feet.

Anderson tries to bum rush Potter with a series of wild strikes but Potter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Potter throws a right hand that Anderson ducks under and follows up with a left that Anderson also avoids with ease.
Potter leaves Anderson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seth Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

so Potter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Potter might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Anderson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Anderson is looking to sinch up a triangle. Potter throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Anderson's body to avoid the submission. Anderson has instead reached around Potter's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Anderson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
