Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryoma Echizen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Brock Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryoma Echizen!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Echizen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Echizen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Echizen is trying to control. Lesnar wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Echizen is looking for a kimura but Lesnar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Echizen to get the leverage.
Echizen uses his free foot to push down on Lesnar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lesnar.

Lesnar defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Echizen.

Lesnar is squirming around, avoiding Echizen's attempts to control the action.

Echizen moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lesnar has worked his arm free - good work by Lesnar!
Lesnar is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Echizen asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Echizen moves into full mount!
Echizen wants to control the pace but Lesnar is squirming around nicely.

Echizen goes for an armbar but Lesnar turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Lesnar.
Lesnar is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Echizen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lesnar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Lesnar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Echizen's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well Lesnar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
