Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobby Lashley is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lashley gets caught flat footed, as Brown shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Lashley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Brown sitting in guard here, content to control. Brown preventing the sweep. Brown pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lashley is keeping the position for now. Lashley kicks Brown off and gets to his feet. Brown looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Lashley is trying to stand.
Brown sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lashley defending well though. Lashley tries to kick Brown off but Brown keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Brown trying to control from Lashley's half guard. Lashley has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Lashley seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lashley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brown does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lashley tries to stand and escape but Brown is controlling the position. Brown is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Brown is pressing down on Lashley's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Brown is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Brown wants to sweep here but Lashley controlling him for the moment. Brown pulls Lashley in close to his closed guard and prevents Lashley from doing any damage or advancing position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lashley wants to get up but he can't break Brown's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Brown looking for a sweep. Not yet Brown, not yet. Brown controlling the position. Brown is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Brown escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lashley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Lashley stands up and waves to Brown to follow him. Bobby Lashley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lashley circles away quickly and effectively. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Brown dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lashley misses with a takedown attempt and Brown counters by clinching up. Brown stops a takedown attempt from Lashley.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Brown. Brown escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Brown darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Brown passes the guard and advances to mount! Lashley tries to lock up and control but Brown gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lashley in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Brown controlling his opponent. Lashley is looking to get to half guard. Brown can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lashley is looking to escape. Brown controlling from the full mount.

Nice work there by Lashley and Brown has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of David Brown. Brown scores with a takedown into Lashley's guard. Brown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Lashley wants to improve his position but instead Brown has moved into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown stops Lashley from getting back to his feet.
Brown has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Brown is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! The fight moves into the clinch position. Lashley is pressed up against the cage. Brown has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lashley down to the mat. Lashley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Brown dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Lashley misses with a takedown attempt and Brown counters by clinching up. Brown has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lashley uses from the top position. Brown manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lashley manages to get himself to full guard.

Lashley wants to stand and escape but Brown is having none of it. Brown lands a couple of decent looking shots. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Brown stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Lashley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Brown controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Brown is working Lashley over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown works over Lashley with some ground and pound from guard. Lashley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Lashley looking for a sweep. Not yet Lashley, not yet. Brown prevents Lashley from getting back to his feet. Brown pushes down on Lashley's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Brown is landing with some decent strikes but Lashley is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Brown with shots to the head and body - Lashley looks very uncomfortable down there. David Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lashley tries to hold on but Brown postures up. Brown lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Brown forces the positional change into back control. Bobby Lashley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! David Brown is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. I really don't envy Lashley right now.
And that's the end of the fight! David Brown showed his dominance in that final round. Well Brown has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
