Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Wild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Wild could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jeffrey Johnson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Wild! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeffrey Johnson! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson fails to land the takedown. Wild is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Wild tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Wild stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet. Johnson drives through with a takedown into guard. Johnson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wild's head. Johnson lands a couple of digs. Johnson throws a big right hand that misses. Johnson trying to control but Wild is working from the bottom. Johnson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Wild has his feet on Johnson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Wild tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wild stuffs the takedown. Jack Wild has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeffrey Johnson. Johnson feints and as Wild raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Johnson looks gassed! Wild is looking for a triangle here but Johnson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Wild takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Johnson scoring with punches and elbows. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Johnson works over Wild's head and body with a nice combination. The fight stays on the outside here - Wild looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wild looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wild wants to get back to his feet but Johnson drags him back down. Johnson working away. Wild tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johnson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Wild wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Johnson wants to control but Wild is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wild on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wild misses with a strike from the bottom. Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wild. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wild circles away quickly and effectively. The fighters circling - Johnson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Johnson keeps the fight on the outside. Johnson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Wild counters by clinching up. Wild with a knee to the head.
Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wild avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Wild landing knees to the head.

Johnson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wild pulls him back up using the underhooks. Johnson tightens his grip and picks Wild up, before dumping him to the ground. Wild manages to land in guard. Wild bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Johnson's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeffrey Johnson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Wild tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wild tries to clinch but Johnson moves away so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Wild is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Johnson cracks Wild with a solid left hand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wild is keeping the position for now. Johnson wants to control from the top but Wild keeps moving. Johnson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Johnson tries to move to mount but Wild blocks the move with his legs. Johnson is trying to move to mount but Wild reverses beautifully and ends up in Johnson's guard. Wild postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Johnson has his hands on Wild's head, controlling the position. Johnson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth. Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Johnson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wild shoots in and bounces Johnson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wild stands up from guard. Let's bang! Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wild working for submissions but it's allowed Johnson to get to half guard.

Jeffrey Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Johnson fails with the takedown and Wild counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wild. Johnson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Johnson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Wild keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Wild working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Wild is tightening it up a little... Johnson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Johnson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Johnson taps out! nice BJJ there by Wild!
