Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santana comes to the cage accompanied by manly euro techno. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlos Santana! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alistair Rutten! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santana closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Santana lands in his opponent's guard. Rutten escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Santana gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Santana tries to stand but Rutten is controlling from the bottom. Rutten controlling the position. Santana pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rutten is keeping the position for now. Santana is fighting to break Rutten's control of his arms but Rutten is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santana wants to pass the guard but Rutten is keeping the position. Rutten has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Santana has passed into side control.
Rutten tries to improve position but can't. Santana advances to full mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santana has hold of Rutten's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rutten manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Santana is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rutten has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rutten! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rutten is stalling in the full guard. Santana has his feet on Rutten's thighs here. He's pushed Rutten off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rutten screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
