The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timmons doesn't manage to clinch there - Gomes IV circles away.
Gomes IV fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gomes IV really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Timmons tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gomes IV swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Timmons shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gomes IV counters with a nice double leg into side control. Timmons won't be happy with that.
Gomes IV looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Timmons tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gomes IV tries to advance to mount but Timmons denies him.

Timmons is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gomes IV connects with a decent elbow.

Gomes IV connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Timmons some visible discomfort.
Timmons is still in real trouble! Can Gomes IV finish him?
Gomes IV cracks Timmons with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Gomes IV immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Timmons is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Gomes IV!
