0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Erickson! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Erickson. Erickson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Podrey misses with a low kick.
Podrey lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Podrey has a takedown stuffed. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Podrey is defended easily by Erickson. Podrey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Erickson sprawls well. Erickson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Podrey gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Podrey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Erickson lands a two punch combo.
Podrey is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Erickson. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Erickson throws a series of punches but Podrey avoids them all with ease. Erickson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Podrey just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Podrey wants to clinch. Podrey walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Erickson keeps the fight on the outside. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Podrey is defended easily by Erickson. The fight moves into the clinch position. Podrey pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Podrey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Podrey closes the distance looking to clinch and Erickson counters with a two punch combo. Podrey is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Erickson. Podrey is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Erickson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Erickson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Erickson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Podrey can't find room to land a body shot as Erickson controls the action.
Erickson can't break the clinch.
Erickson gets underhooks to prevent Podrey's takedown attempt.
Erickson wants to break free but Podrey has control.
Podrey wants a takedown but no success here.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Erickson. A right handed body shot lands from Erickson.
Erickson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Podreys head. Erickson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Erickson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Erickson breaks the clinch.
A left and a right from Erickson both land. Nice combination. Erickson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Jake Podrey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. It's a brutal combination of punches from Erickson! Podrey is backing up but he can't get away as Erickson lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Podrey and ends the fight. Great knockout.
