Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alan Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bundy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is God Hates a Coward. Hunter Rose has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alan Bundy! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hunter Rose! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bundy moves in looking to clinch but Rose pushes him off. Rose stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bundy. Bundy throws a sloppy head kick and Rose moves out of range easily. Bundy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Bundy throws a front kick aimed at Rose's knee but Rose avoids it well. Rose takes a swing at Bundy's ribcage but misses. Rose throws a head kick that misses and Bundy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rose! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bundy lands a heavy elbow. Bundy is landing with some decent strikes but Rose is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Bundy controlling the position easily from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rose is bucking up trying to escape but Bundy cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Rose really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Bundy lands a nice shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bundy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Rose wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bundy.
Bundy trying to control but he's not successful this time. Bundy controlling the position easily from mount. Bundy looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rose takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Rose is in a horrible position here. Bundy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Bundy prevents Rose from getting the reversal. Bundy is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rose is surviving well by controlling Bundy's body position as best he can. Bundy breaks from Rose's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bundy controlling from mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bundy looking to finish Rose with some ground and pound. This is bad for Rose! The referee warns Rose that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rose is refusing to be controlled, as Bundy sits in half guard. Rose really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bundy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bundy seems to be looking for submissions.

and Bundy counters with a takedown into side control. Bundy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bundy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Rose tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bundy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Bundy scores with a couple of short elbows. Bundy scoring with punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bundy lands a decent elbow from side control. Bundy controls the position from side control. Bundy is looking to take a break and control but Rose is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. An elbow from Bundy crashes against the mat.

Bundy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bundy performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Bundy lands strikes from half guard.

Bundy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bundy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rose's head. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rose avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bundy. Bundy not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Bundy thumps the canvas. Alan Bundy dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bundy throws a quick inside leg kick. Bundy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rose moves away. Rose thows a body shot but no joy. Bundy throws a leg kick that is checked letting Rose counter with a right hand. Bundy tries to land a body kick and Rose counters with a leg kick. Rose throws a lazy right hand but Bundy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Bundy looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bundy shoots in but Rose avoids the takedown attempt easily. Rose throws a low kick but it's checked well by Bundy. Bundy keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rose. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rose crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bundy - the referee stops the clock and Rose gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bundy. Rose manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Bundy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rose can do to turn this around? Bundy throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rose's head. Rose just misses with a punch to the body.
Bundy is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Rose throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Bundy counters with a leg kick. Bundy connects with a body shot. Bundy misses with a head kick.

Bundy throws a leg kick but Rose sees it coming and checks it nicely. Bundy tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Rose is able to avoid easily. Bundy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rose misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Bundy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Rose does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Rose throws a jab but it's blocked by Bundy. The fight stays on the outside here - Bundy looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rose swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bundy. Rose jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rose throws a sloppy head kick and Bundy counters with a stiff right hand. Bundy fails with the takedown. Rose throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bundy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rose won't be happy with that. This has been an exciting period of action! Bundy trying to control the action but Rose is working from the bottom. Alan Bundy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rose stops Bundy from passing to mount. Bundy wants to control but Rose is keeping him busy. Bundy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Bundy throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Bundy works to advance to full mount. Rose defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Rose holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bundy tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bundy lands a big shot there that rocks Rose but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Rose is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bundy looking to finish Rose with some ground and pound. This is bad for Rose! Rose is still in real trouble! Can Bundy finish him? Rose takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bundy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big strike lands for Bundy! That's really hurt Rose and he's turned his back - Bundy keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Bundy jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
