Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wilby Champion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coal Hagride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hagride has chosen I am Black Torment as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Coal Hagride acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Champion throws a one two combo.
Hagride scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Champion can't do much from the bottom here. Hagride sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Champion is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Champion tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Hagride has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hagride goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Hagride got a little sloppy there for a moment and Champion has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hagride has managed to get both his arms back between Champion's legs - danger averted. Hagride thows a big elbow that misses. Hagride lands a couple of digs. Hagride throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Coal Hagride will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Wilby Champion is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Champion throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hagride closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Champion did well to prevent Hagride getting side control. Champion actively working from the bottom here. Hagride winds up and cracks Champion with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Champion keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Hagride thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Hagride thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Champion to regain full guard. Hagride works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hagride missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Hagride working Champion over with strikes. Hagride looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Champion with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Hagride thows a huge punch but Champion dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hagride not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hagride sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Champion defending well though. Hagride works his way into full mount! Champion wants to control but Hagride is having none of it. Hagride lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hagride landing strikes from the mount. Hagride is landing with some decent strikes but Champion is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Hagride scoring with strikes but Champion is staying in there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hagride goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Champion is on top in guard.
Hagride is breathing heavily. Champion postures up in Hagride's guard and throws a big left but Hagride blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Champion forces his way into half guard. Hagride gets full guard. Champion trying to control the position from guard on top but Hagride is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Coal Hagride showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Hagride avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Champion doesn't manage to clinch there - Hagride circles away.

Hagride creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Champion sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Hagride working the head with strikes. Nice work there by Champion! Champion content to stall in guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Champion is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hagride wants to pass the guard but Champion is keeping the position. Coal Hagride has got the better of the ground game so far. Champion escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hagride gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Champion is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hagride postures up and lands a big shot to Champion's brow. Hagride lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hagride keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Champion's head. Hagride content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Champion working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hagride.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hagride is looking to work some ground and pound but Champion has wrist control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hagride stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Champion swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Coal Hagride comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hagride winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
